CREATING IMPACT
We know our environment is under attack, and it just so happens that we are in a position to do something about it! At Horizon Packaging, we still carry conventional flexible packaging options, but we understand the necessity and the urgency of finding sustainable alternative that are attainable for manufacturers, farmers and retail outlets.
Mission
Our Mission is to track down as many 100% Bio-Based & 100% Compostable flexible films as we can, then put them through a number of meticulous tests, in order to determine the best possible option to bring to market for custom flexible packaging.

We will be testing print through our 6-Color Floexographic Print Press and converting the films into bags on our Side-Weld Bagging Machine.

We will then be conducting numerous, independent tests regarding fresh produce and frozen foods, then finally a side-by-side backyard composting trial.
Vision
Our Vision is to lead the US-Based Flexible Packaging Industry in HOME COMPOSTABLE packaging options. We want to be able to bring these options to market in a cost-effective way, that doesn't sacrifice product quality.

We are aware of what microplastics are doing to our environment and our bodies, and we are committed to do something about it. The truly clean options are currently hard to come by and very expensive. We want our impact to be able to bring that price tag down for the small to medium-sized businesses we serve.
